Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed that new manager David Moyes has the players training a lot harder than what old manager Sir Alex Ferguson did.
Despite a summer of speculation linking the striker with a move away from Old Trafford, Rooney has started the new season in fine form, grabbing three goals and three assists so far in just four appearances.
The 27-year-old is familiar with Moyes after working with him during his early stages at Everton and the striker has admitted that the training is a lot more intense under the new manager.
“The training is a bit different under the new manager,” said Rooney.
“I remember it from Everton. It’s more intense. That’s helping me. I’m glad to be out playing.
“He’s a great manager and thoroughly deserves this job because of what he did at Everton. It’s good to work under him and, hopefully, be successful together.”
