As interest from German clubs increases, so does the pressure on De Bruyne as his future becomes uncertain. Despite rejoining the Chelsea squad following a loan spell with German side Werder Bremen, the 22 year-old Belgian has struggled to gain first team football in a squad with many talented midfielders.
With many German clubs such as Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg and Schalke all keen on snatching De Bruyne, the door could be opened ahead of the transfer window in January. The Belgian’s agent, Patrick De Koster, is set to hold talks with Chelsea officials to see where De Bruyne’s future stands.
De Koster told Cologne-based tabloid EXPRESS: “I am going to fly over to London to find a proper solution with Chelsea.”
