Goalkeeper ready to Madrid return

David De Gea has told Manchester United that he wants to go back to Spain and join Real Madrid.

An agreement between both clubs is yet to be confirmed regardless of the fact that the goalkeeper has already said his last goodbyes to his team-mates, and the Spain international is now starting to negotiate the move further.

The Red Devils do not want to let the 24-year-old leave Old Trafford in the summer transfer window but he will leave on a free transfer at the end of next season if they decide to hold onto the Spaniard.

Madrid Confident

However, Madrid are chasing the keeper’s signature and want the deal to be confirmed as soon as possible with the club president Florentino Perez meeting De Gea’s agent Jorges Mendes today to complete the deal.

De Gea, who used to play for Real’s rivals Atletico Madrid, is going to cost at least £20million but Madrid could raise their bid to get the transfer completed quicker.
