Dutch midfield ace Frankie De Jong has admitted that he had consulted former Barcelona ace Ronald Koeman, who is currently in charge of the Netherlands national team, before joining the Blaugrana next summer. The 21-year-old has already signed for the La Liga giants and will ply his trade at the Nou Camp from the next season onwards.
In a recent interview with the Spanish news outlet Marca, the Ajax star said, “Yes, I asked him [Koeman] a lot.”
He added, “I knew that he had enjoyed success there. I wanted to know what the city was like, what the daily life was like and what the club was like. It’s reassuring to know these things before going.”
The Dutchman is currently preparing for the Euro 2020 qualifiers and played a very crucial role in the match against Belarus which the Netherlands won by 4-0.
