Arsenal and Liverpool have been handed the chance to sign Real Madrid defender Fabio Coentrao, with the player valued at around £25 million, according to the Metro.
The 26-year-old has been informed he can leave Madrid, having fallen out of favour with Real in recent months, with a host of suitors lining up for the Portuguese international.
However, it appears that Carlo Ancelotti will let Coentrao leave for half that amount, prompting interest from English eyes.
Arsenal and Liverpool are now seemingly set to battle it out for his services, though wages could up-hold the deal.
Despite interest from Anfield and the Emirates, Coentrao is holding out for a move to continental Europe in the summer, with Sporting Lisbon keen, as well as sides in Italy in Turkey.
Coentrao has made 13 appearances for Los Blancos this term.
