Ajax defender Daley Blind, has revealed his interest in joining up with Louis Van Gaal at Manchester United, but has insisted that he will only leave the club if a formal offer is made.
The Premiership side have been linked with numerous players since the end of the World Cup, and after the new manager, Van Gaal revealed his plans to sign Dutch players, Blind is rumoured to be high on that list, alongside Nigel De Jong.
Blind was one of the breakthrough stars in Brazil at this Summer’s World Cup, and after impressing, he has admitted that a move to Old Trafford interests him, but he will only think about it once a concrete offer is made.
Despite admitting the interest of reuniting with Van Gaal, Blind has reassured Ajax fans that he is still happy in Amsterdam.
“I don’t know for now, I am happy here. If a club comes, I will think about it and then we will see,” the 24-year-old told Sky Sports.
“For me it is just waiting, I am happy here in Amsterdam.
“If something comes, I am going to think about it. Let’s see what the options are. But for now I am focussed on Ajax and will see what happens next week.”
It’s reported that Blind would cost United roughly £15million.
