Dele Alli: Tottenham Hotspur to make bid for MK Dons starlet

Tottenham Hotspur are poised to make a late bid to sign MK Dons starlet Dele Ali, beating Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Newcastle United, the Telegraph have reported. 

Spurs have matched the two rival bids lodged by both Villa and Newcastle at a fee of ÂŁ5 million, and are hopeful of securing the deal to take the 18-year-old to White Hart Lane in the January deadline day drama. 

Newcastle had previously been favourites to land the midfielder, however the news of bids from both Aston Villa and Tottenham will leave Alli with a tough decision to make. 

The North London club have a history of signing toung British talent, with the likes of Gareth Bale, Michael Dawson, Tom Huddlestone and Jermaine Jenas all joining the Lilywhites in the past

Wherever Alli decides to pledge his Footballing future to, he will be loaned straight back to Milton Keynes, to aid their promotion push from League One. 

Alli, who has been capped at youth level by England, has impressed for Karl Robinson’s Buckinghamshire-based side this season, having netted 12 times in 32 outings at Stadium:mk.
