Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has admitted that he fear defeat in the League Cup Final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley, on Sunday.

Despite netting in nine major finals for the Blues in his first spell at the West-London club, the 36-year-old revealed that he fears defeat in Sunday’s final, after admitting he remembers the defeats more than the wins.

Drogba said: “When you lose, you always remember it forever, like the one against Manchester United in Moscow or against Tottenham in 2008.

“I have experienced the feeling of losing finals before, so I am scared to lose finals and maybe that is why I give everything.

The Ivorian is desperate to avenge their 2008 defeat to Spurs’ in the Cup, though his fellow team-mates don’t want revenge over the Lilywhites..

“This one is important because after two years I come back to the club and once again we are in a final, so I would love to win it,” Drogba added.

“There is no feeling of revenge after seven years – they deserved to win that day and I hope that Sunday is going to be different.”
