Striker will miss one more game

Chelsea striker Diego Costa will serve an additional one-match ban and will also have to pay £20,000 after accepting his improper conduct charge.

The 27-year-old was punished for the incident involving Gareth Barry in the FA Cup, and he has now accepted the charge, meaning he will miss a further game.

The two players collided during the cup encounter and it appeared that Costa bit the midfielder. However, both parties denied those claims, but it still hasn’t stopped the Spaniard picking up a three-match ban.

Costa was initially handed a two-match ban, but he will now be forced to serve a three-match ban and will have to pay a fee of £20k.

The Spaniard missed the 2-2 draw with West Ham United, and will now miss games against Aston Villa and Swansea City.
