During his press conference this morning, Jurgen Klopp insisted Divock Origi could play for Liverpool again before the end of the campaign.

The Belgium international was carried off the pitch in the Reds’ 4-0 Merseyside derby win on Wednesday night, after Ramiro Funes Mori’s challenge left him with an injured ankle. The Everton centre-half subsequently received a straight red card for the tackle.

Fears that his ankle was broken or fractured were dismissed after today’s scan results.

The biggest plus for the centre forward is that he will not miss this summer’s European Championships in France.
