Didier Drogba, who left Chelsea two years ago after winning side side the Champions League is currently looking at his options as his contract with Galatasaray expires at the end of the season.

Roma and several MLS sides have been linked with the forward but Chelse are prepared to offer him a player-coach role and an emotional return to a side with whom he has strong connections with.

According to reports in LeSport10, Jose Mourinho will offer the 36 year-old a one year playing deal and a three year coaching contract with the view that Drogba will join Mourinho’s staff in the future.

The move would appeal to the Ivorian as he has made his desire to one day go into coaching, very clear.

Drogba has already made a visit to Stamford Bridge this season with his side Galatasaray in the Champions League, but saw his side beaten 2-0. He received a hero’s welcome by the Chelsea faithful and was very grateful to have returned, after the match

Drogba would certainly be welcomed back after his successful spell with the Blues, winning three Premier League titles, one league cup title, four FA Cups and the Champions League.
