Eddie Howe Rejects Callum Wilson Transfer Speculations

Eddie Howe is hoping Callum Wilson will stay at Bournemouth beyond January despite being liked with a host of clubs.

Wilson is having a dream season with the Cherries as he has become their main source of goals this term. The English international has been in good touch and has found the net on eight occasions in the top flight alongside six assists.

His superior performance hasn’t gone unnoticed and Chelsea hierarchy is pretty impressed with his performance. Both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have struggled to create chances and Sarri has been using Eden Hazard as a false nine in the last few matches.

The arrival of Wilson could ease the burden but Howe insists the English international won’t leave Vitality Stadium. “Callum is our player, he is very focused on us and you could see that from his performance tonight.

“He gave everything for the team.

“We were nervous at the start but once we settled down we were good value

“It was a discipline, defensive display. We countered and used the ball well and that result could have been very different.

“We believed at 0-0 we could win the match. We had our moments but we couldn’t get the goal. We’re disappointed we don’t have anything to go away with.”
