Premier League trial offer extended to retired football star Eden Hazard
A Premier League club has handed a trial opportunity to retiring Belgian football master Eden Hazard, only days after he announced the end of his remarkable career. Hazard, 32, said his final goodbyes to the beautiful game on social media, writing an emotional message to his supporters.
Overall, Hazard’s time at Real Madrid was filled with challenges, including a huge setback caused by a single tackle.
After his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu was mutually terminated, speculation regarding his future grew. Kevin Nolan, who is not quite convinced that Hazard’s retirement is permanent, has openly stated that he is optimistic that the former Chelsea legend may rethink hanging up his boots.
In fact, Nolan, who recently signed with West Ham United, has gone so far as to offer Hazard a trial with the Premier League team.
Nolan, who is a coach at West Ham, stated: “I’d have the Hazard of Chelsea at West Ham. “I’m sure if he wanted to come and trial we’d, I mean, I’d certainly be willing to. I don’t know about the gaffer [David Moyes]. But I’d certainly want to trial him!
“Some of the best years in the Premier League, he’s been part of and some of the best goals.”
Nolan has backed Hazard to reverse his retirement, adding: “It’s sad that at 32 he’s decided to bow out in all honesty because I believe someone of his calibre of play could play at the top level for plenty more years.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a little bit of a reverse on that in the next six months to a year.
“I just think at 32, he’s just put out that he’s retired. There’s been so many times, I remember when Scholes done it. Then he got a phone call from Sir Alex Ferguson and he was like ‘oh yeah, I will come back’.
“I just think something like that could happen with Hazard because someone is probably willing to give him the opportunity to say ‘go on, come in and play for us for six months’.”
Hazard proved his talent during four seasons at Real Madrid and a great seven-year stint at Chelsea. His contributions to Chelsea, which included an incredible 110 goals, helped the team win two Premier League titles and two Europa League titles, sculpting his place in football history.
The football world has been waiting to see if Hazard will take this surprising trial offer and maybe restart his career.
