Edinson Cavani to stay in Paris

Paris Saint-Germain striker, Edinson Cavani, has revealed that he intends to stay in France rather than move to England in the Summer.

The Uruguayan has been far-from-happy in Paris under Laurent Blanc due to his new role on the left-hand side, but he has now changed his mind on the idea of leaving and is now happy to stay in France.

Cavani is wanted by Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool, and it was reported that the trio would do battle at the end of the season to sign the striker, with ÂŁ50million the reported fee, but it now looks like the striker will be snubbing any move away.

“Today I’m great here in Paris,” he said. “My family and I are happy and every time they come and watch me play, they enjoy.

“We have a great team. Like I said, there is a nice project backing the club and I’m finding my way in Paris. I want to give them the best.

“I hope I can give the best to this club and repay the confidence the president placed in me when he signed me.

“I want to build on the confidence the coach gives me and that he also gives to my teammates.”
