The fourth round draw for the EFL Cup has taken place and has provided us with some exciting fixtures.
As the Northampton vs Man United game drew to a close, the fourth round of the EFL Cup was drawn – and it provided some exciting fixtures.
First out of the pot was West Ham who were subsequently drawn against London rivals Chelsea. The Premier League clash looks set to be a tasty one and both sides will be desperate for a win.
Arguably the main high point of the draw came next. Fresh off a 3-1 victory over Northampton, Man United were pulled out and handed a home tie – against their City rivals, Man City!
Pep Guardiola’s side have already notched one Manchester Derby victory so far this season and the Red Devils will be eager to exact revenge for that result in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
Arsenal were given Championship opposition, as they are set to face Reading at the Emirates Stadium. Don’t write the Royals off though – they’ve been known to provide an upset or two in the past.
Liverpool were handed quite a tricky tie as well. Despite being given a home game, they’ll have to host Tottenham, who will be no pushovers by any means. They finished second in the league last year and they’ll be desperate for silverware this campaign.
Here is the complete draw:
West Ham vs Chelsea
Man United vs Man City
Arsenal vs Reading
Liverpool vs Tottenham
Bristol City vs Hull
