Samuel Eto’o had added further fuel to the ever increasing fire, by stating that he is “Very Annoyed” at comments made by Jose Mourinho, according to Claude Le Roy, the Cameroon coach.
Mourinho had a private conversation leaked to the press by French broadcaster Canal +, were it appeared that the Chelsea boss slated the work-rate of Eto’o, and his age.
Mourinho was quoted to have said.
‘The problem with Chelsea is I lack a scorer. I have Eto’o but he is 32 years old, maybe 35, who knows?’
Eto’o’s former international manager Claude Le Roy, stated that the striker was very annoyed at Mourinho’s comments.
‘Actually, Mourinho went to see him before he saw the pictures and told him to not believe everything that was going to be said. And that he had said nothing about him. But I can tell you that Samuel didn’t like it.’
It also appears that Eto’o’s ex-Girlfriend Anna Barranca has stated that the striker is actually 39 years of age, instead of 32.
She told The Sun: ‘I think Samuel is not 35 he is more 39. Samuel was born in 1974 and so that makes him 39 now.
‘It was evident Samuel was older than the age he said he was when he first came to Europe.’
The striker has stated already that he may possibly quit the Bridge, and return to Spain with Real Mallorca.
