The Blues are in discussions with the 19-year old
According to reports, Chelsea have sent a representative to Brazil to negotiate with Santos’ Thiago Maia.
However, Maia, who is a defensive midfielder, is apparently reluctant to leave his home country.
Despite such reluctance, football adviser Kia Joorabchian is allegedly in Brazil today to ask Maia if he fancies joining Chelsea.
If Maia was to move to Stamford Bridge, then he would become Antonio Conte’s fourth summer signing.
They have already completed the transfers of striker Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, holding midfielder N’Golo Kante from Leicester City and young goalkeeper Marcin Bulka from FCB Escola.
