Haaland was thought to secure a move to Manchester United.
However, a new side has surprisingly joined the race.
AC Milan have entered the race to sign RB Salzburg sensation Erling Haaland by offering him a huge salary, it is claimed. The Rossoneri are in desperate need of firepower in January having netted just 16 goals through the first 16 rounds of Serie A action.
According to Sportitalia journalist Alfredo Pedulla, AC Milan have joined the list of clubs vying for Erling Braut Haaland and offered the RB Salzburg striker €5.5m per season, which would make him instantly one of the club’s top earners. An enquiry by Paolo Maldini reportedly led to a huge offer of a five-year contract worth a total of €27.5m in total, with the desire of closing as soon as possibly. The 19-year-old is available for just €30 million, including agent’s commission, and his release clause can be activated in the January transfer window.

There is arguably no hotter property in Europe at the moment that Erling Haaland. The 19-year-old has netted 28 goals in 22 appearances for RB Salzburg this season, attracting the interest of a number of Europe’s top clubs.
While there are proposals from Juventus, Manchester United, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Nice, among others, money is not going to be the main issue. Haaland wants regular playing time to continue his development and the struggling Serie A side could certainly offer that. It had been reported Juventus were proposing €3 million per season plus bonuses, but the Rossoneri would dwarf that with €5.5 million in wages. There have been rumors elsewhere that Haaland is after €8 million per year.
