Pep Guardiola confirms scepticism Give me another team and I won't win

Many people have criticized the coach of being only at popular clubs.

And now he appears to share the same opinion.

Pep Guardiola confesses he has been so successful as a football manager because he has only managed top sides in the world. The Spaniard won everything with Barcelona. He has also managed to dominate Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and later winning back to back Premier League titles with Manchester City. Guardiola has found success wherever he has gone.

But often he is discredited of being the world’s best manager as his critics constantly argue that the Spanish manager has never managed a side with minimal resources and overturning them into champions. “If Pep Guardiola is so good, why doesn’t he go and manage a weaker club?” fans always ask.

Guardiola has always been inherited with a squad full of potential, be it Barcelona having prospects like Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi or Bayern Munich and now Manchester City. And the 49-year-old has now admitted his success is due to the privilege of managing the best sides.

“I never felt like I am the best manager [in the world],” he told Football Daily. Even when I won six titles in a row and trebles. Never felt that. I won because I had extraordinary players at big clubs. The incredible managers don’t have these players. They don’t have these clubs. I’m a good manager, but not the best. Give me a team not like Manchester City and I’m not going to win.”
