Cristiano Ronaldo’s header against Sampdoria last night sealed the win for Juventus.

However, it was no normal winner. The 35 year old jumped 2.67 metres into the air and held his flight to connect with the ball. And it has left him, his manager, and his opponents in awe of the Portuguese.

“Ronaldo did something that you see in the NBA (National Basketball Association); he was up in the air for an hour and a half,” said Sampdoria coach Claudio Ranieri. “There’s nothing you can say about it, you can only congratulate him and move on.”

Ronaldo himself held a modest voice.

He was heard telling Sky in Italy: “The whole team showed the right attitude. It was a good goal and I am glad to help the team with another three points.

“I had problems with my knee for a month, but that has gone now and I feel good physically.”

Juventus are now in the lead in the Serie A. However, the game has come way closer than they have had to face in the last few years. Antonio Conte’s Inter are on their heels and are only 3 points behind with a game in hand.
