Sergio Ramos has been a Real Madrid player forever now.
In fact, he has so much of the Real blood in him, it is easy to forget that he actually did not come from their youth academy. He was definitely signed as a young player, however.
Initially signed as a right-back, Ramos broke into the first team and made sure that he has never had to look back. The player has done amazingly well and has captained the team to unprecedented success in Europe.
He is now slowly drifting past his prime and there have been talks if Ramos will be moved on like the rest of the greats at Real – namely Raul, Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo.
His agent has reiterated that the player wants to sail into the sunset from Real Madrid.
“Football goes around a lot but there are very good intentions on both sides,” the agent told Radio Marca.
“Hopefully he will retire at Real Madrid, it is his ream and I understand that it will be the desire of the club too.
“As of today, we have not spoken about anything but there is no need to be alarmed. The moment the club considers it, we will begin to speak.”
