What else is expected of Real Madrid, but to be big spenders once again.
Real Madrid are reportedly set to revive their interest in Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling after contacting his agent in the off-season.
Raheem Sterling has been in sensational form for Manchester City and England for well over 12 months now, and it appears Real Madrid want him to become their next Galactico. Los Blancos are in need of reinforcements and their boss Zinedine Zidane is under all sorts of pressure in the Spanish capital.
It has now been revealed that their general director approached Sterling’s agent this summer for talks over a possible move to Spain, per The Athletic.
In addition, El Mundo Deportivo claims Real Madrid have started prospective talks over a deal to sign the Manchester City star. The England forward has been in sensational form this term, with five Premier League goals in five games.
It’s clear to see why Real Madrid are so keen on Sterling. Having played under Pep Guardiola for a few seasons now, he has blossomed into a fine player. There are still areas of his game to improve but he has been one of City’s most important players during the best spell of their history.
He is a fast player who likes attacking with the ball at his feet. His decision making and end product have been called into question but the number of chances he creates for himself does make amends for these flaws.
