Jose Mourinho bans physio from being match-day doctor

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has banned Eva Caneiro from being the match-day doctor at the club, according to Sky Sports News.

The duo have been feuding over the past few days after Mourinho flipped at his staff member for treating Eden Hazard, leaving them with just eight-men on the field.

After Thibaut Courtois‘ sending-off, Hazard fell to the floor and needed treatment, which lead to Caneiro and other physios rushing onto the pitch to see to him.

Due to Premier League rules, the Belgium then had to leave the field after being seen to, leaving Chelsea with just eight players on the field in the last few moments of the match with the score at 2-2.

Feud

After the game, Mourinho launched an astonishing rant at Caneiro in the media, claiming she doesn’t understand football and called her a distraction.

Caneiro hit back by release a statement thanking fans for their support throughout the saga.

Now however it’s been reported that she has lost her job as match-day doctor and will only serve the club at their training ground.
