Blues boss was furious with medical team after Saturday’s draw
Chelsea physio Eva Caneiro has hit back at manager Jose Mourinho after he publicly criticised her following the club’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Saturday.
Mourinho was left furious after his medical team decided to treat Eden Hazard for an injury late in the game, which left The Blues with eight-men on the field due to Thibaut Courtois being sent off earlier in the game.
After the match, Mourinho accused Caneiro and co. of not understanding the game and making a silly decision to treat Hazard at such a vital time.
Footage has been shown of Mourinho going berserk on the sidelines after Caneiro ran on the pitch to treat Hazard.
Despite Mourinho’s harsh comments on his medical team, Caneiro herself has thanked the public for their support after they backed her over the manager.
Medic Thankful
Caneiro sent out a message which read: “I would like to thank the general public for their overwhelming support. Really very much appreciated.”
Caneiro is a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge after being at the club for five years.
