Italian must accept Fiorentina offer or deal is OFF

Serie A side Fiorentina have given Fabio Borini two days to accept their offer or else they will pull the plug on the deal.

The Liverpool striker has been told by Brendan Rodgers he can leave the club, and a move back to Italy was expected to be agreed and finalised, but there has been a stall in the deal.

Borini is still contemplating whether to join Fiorentina or not, and now he has been issued a two-day deadline to either accept the offer or stay at Anfield.

Competition for Places

The 24-year-old is out of the picture at Anfield, with Danny Ings and Christian Benteke arriving over the summer, and despite wanting to leave the club for first-team football, he is still stalling on a move to Fiorentina, despite negotiations going well.

According to Tutto Mercato, Fiorentina have given Borini two-days to make up his mind and if he doesn’t accept the offer by then, the deal is off.

Borini spent most of last season on the bench for Liverpool, behind Daniel Sturridge and Mario Balotelli, and with new faces arriving this summer, his role at the club has been further damaged.

The Italian cost Liverpool ÂŁ10.5million when they signed him three years ago, but he has failed to impress during that time and is now ready to resurrect his career elsewhere.
