Everton close in signing Colombian star Yerry Mina

English side, Everton are inching closer to sign Yerry Mina for a €24 million (£21 million/$28 million) fee from Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Colombian star joined the Spanish side 6-months back in January 2018 for a transfer fee of €11.8 million, represented them in only 6 games. He joined the Spanish side after playing for Brazilian club Palmeiras for 2 years. He played 49 games for the Brazilian club and was 9 times on the scoring sheet.

Mina know that his future looks blink at the Spanish side who already has players like, Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti and linkups of Clement Lenglet arrival from Sevilla.

The centre-back had a good run for his Colombian side in the World cup, scoring three goals for his side before been handed an exit route from the hands of England on penalties in their round of 16 match.

According to reports from Goal, Everton director of football Marcel Brands has already met with personals from Barcelona regarding the transfer of the Colombian star and the discussion over the player future is ongoing.

There were linkup between the player and various clubs earlier on. New Toffees manager Marco Silva had also shown interest in signing the defender and he made his desire clear in front of the club’s regulatory board.

Even English club, Liverpool had shown desire in bring down the player to Anfield. West Ham United and Turkish side Fenerbahce were also interested on signing the player but the loan offer Fenerbahce gave was rejected by the Spanish side.

Yerry Mina wants to join a side which values him and take him as an important player. His performance in Russia has added definitely added some cherries on the cake.
