Everton are leading the way to sign Chelsea’s out of favour striker Romelu Lukaku, according to the Daily Express.
Lukaku, aged 21 spent the whole of the 2013/14 season at the club, scoring 15 goals in 31 games for Roberto Martinez’ side, as they finished fifth in the Premier League.
The Belgian has spent the previous two years on loan from parent club Chelsea, with West Bromwich Albion loaning Lukaku out during the 2012/13 campaign.
And now that Chelsea have confirmed the £32 million signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid, Lukaku’s future has been put into further doubt.
Everton, along with Liverpool and Spurs that they would have to pay £15 million for Lukaku’s services.
