Manchester United are preparing themselves to pay £63 million for Colombian midfielder James Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, aged 22 was one of the stars of the World Cup, with Real Madrid keen on the player.

It was reported by Spanish Newspaper Marca that Carlo Ancelotti is a keen admirer of the Monaco man, and is set to break the bank once again to sign another hot property.

His current side, Monaco, have told Manchester United to pay around £70 million for his signature, and the Daily Express suggest that the French Ligue 1 side will lower that bid, due to the fact that the player wants to leave the club.

Rodriguez was one of the stars of the World Cup, scoring six goals for the South Americans.
