Everton forward Richarlison has revealed he is hoping to receive the golden boot at the end of the season. Few eyebrows were raised when Everton paid a mammoth ÂŁ40m to secure his services. But the youngster has already started to justify his price tag as he has scored three goals in the first two matches.

Following his arrival from Brazilian club Fluminense, Richarlison hogged the limelight with a string of impressive display for Watford last season. He enlightened the first half of the Premier League with some delightful football but failed to replicate his performance in the latter half of the season.

The 21 year old has already set his goals for the season. “I feel more prepared, I already know the rhythm and style of the Premier League, which helps me on the way to the achievements.

“I want to be the top scorer of the league, take Everton back to the Champions League and reach the Brazilian national team.”

The youngster had pretty high hopes of being selected in the Brazil squad for the World Cup but gaffer Tite preferred to have more experienced names under his tutelage. The youngster is pretty positive and wants to don the national colours whenever an opportunity comes to him. “I was anxious during the call-ups on Friday. I watched with a lot of expectation, but sadly it wasn’t this time.

“Even so, I’m still hopeful and I want to be prepared if the opportunity arrives in the future.”
