Idrissa Gueye have been linked with a move away to Paris Saint-Germain this January but Everton have already notified the player that he will not be sold anytime soon.

With Adrien Rabiot set to leave the Ligue 1 outfit soon, Thomas Tuchel has been persistent in finding an immediate replacement. He has recognized Gueye as the perfect man to fill into the departing Frenchman’s role and PSG’s interests are reported to be growing daily.

Gueye extended his contract with the Toffees last February and is tied to the side till the summer of 2022. He has appeared in 19 games for the Merseyside outfit, taking up major defensive responsibilities next to Gylfi Sigurdsson and Andre Gomes.

The 29-year-old also has 56 caps to his name for Senegal along with 2 international goals. He has prior experience in the Ligue 1 with Lille, making 134 league appearances for the side.

The Daily Mail claims that PSG have already offered £30m for the midfield enforcer but Marco Silva is not interested in selling him just yet. At 29, Gueye’s value might be at the highest it ever could be right now but he is far too important for Everton.

There is not a second player at the club who can what he does from the central areas. Tom Davies is capable of the responsibilities but still has to undergo further development.
