Chris Sutton has told Antonio Conte to keep Michy Batshuayi.

Michy Batshuayi has struggled for regular game time at Chelsea

The Belgian international has been struggling at Stamford Bridge since joining the club from Marseille back in the summer.

The Blues forked out a whopping £33m to secure his signature, however, he’s been unable to establish himself as a regular starter.

To be fair though, he did grab Chelsea’s crucial goal against West Brom earlier this month that ensured Premier League glory.

West Ham and Newcastle have been linked with a loan options with Michy, but no talks have yet begun.

However, former Blues forward Chris Sutton insists Conte needs to keep the 23-year-old.

“He’s an interesting one,” said Sutton who was speaking on behalf of BT Sport ahead of the Emirates FA Cup Final.

“If Chelsea are going to fight on all front they need to strength and depth.

“I’ve been impressed with him.

“I don’t know if he’s sulked privately, but it doesn’t seem that way publicly.

“He’s come on in recent weeks and scored important goals. But if you’re him you want to play.

“It’s really interesting that Conte hasn’t had Europe to cope with this season so how will he next season?

“The demands are totally different.”
