Arsenal alerted as Argentine plots move

Arsenal have been put on red-alert by Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequiel Lavezzi after he admitted he expects to leave the club in the near-future.

The 30-year-old has been in Ligue 1 with PSG for three years now, since following Edinson Cavani from Napoli, but with his contract expiring next summer, he knows that it’s time to plan his next move.

Lavezzi has been linked with Liverpool in the past, but according to reports, it’s Arsenal that could be alerted by the Argentinian’s availability.

Speaking in a recent interview in France, the winger admitted that he’s happy at the Parc des Princes, but he knows that it’s his last season with the club.

Lavezzi Reveals Exit Plans

He told French broadcaster Telefoot: “The truth is I want to stay because I have a lot of faith in the team.

“This year we brought in players that really reinforced the team.

“I’m very happy for new signing Angel di Maria, it’s always good to play with your friends. He is a great player, I hope he adapts quickly.

“I think it’s my last year in Paris. But I’m okay and I want to finish it the best way possible. You never know what can happen. Today I want to stay, tomorrow we’ll see.”
