Ferguson believes Moyes just needs time

Sir Alex Ferguson was replaced by Everton manager David Moyes last summer and has so far endured a horror season, managing only to keep 7th place in the table. His side are slowly slipping away from the Champions League spots and they are out of all domestic competitions and are on the verge of a Champions League exit following a 2-0 loss at Olympiakos last Tuesday.

But Ferguson, who was United manager for 27 years and won 38 trophies during his time there says Moyes can ajust and be a success with time. Ferguson spoke in Los Angeles on Sunday: “They (Manchester United) will be all right,”

“It’s early days and there have been a lot of changes.

“He needs time. I was there for 27 years, so with a new manager, it takes time. But they’ll be OK.”

United have had a break this weekend and are back in action next week to face West Brom, following this game though is a difficult period including the return leg of Olympiakos and faces from Liverpool and Manchester City.
