Fernando Llorente insists he has never thought of leaving Tottenham Hotspur despite playing the third fiddle behind Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.
The forward arrived at the North London club back in the summer of 2017 since then has only played a bit part role under manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Spaniard has started just three games this season and Pochettino has opted to start Son in the absence of Harry Kane in the centre forward role instead of the 33 year old.
The former Swansea City forward was heavily linked with a number of clubs with clubs like Fenerbahce and Athletic Bilbao were very interested in acquiring his service. It had been expected the player would leave but forward decided to stay and fight for a place in the team.
Llorente said, “I don’t know anything.
“The truth is I’m very satisfied here in Spurs, I haven’t thought about leaving.
“I’m at a great club, I still have a contract, and my intention is to win trophies here. Right now, I’m enjoying a good moment, and I hope I can keep scoring goals and everything keeps going well.”
