Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is set to ask the club to pay him £10million as compensation as he looks set to leave the club in the Summer.

The Spaniard is currently on £175k-a-week at Stamford Bridge and has two years left on his current contract, but with Jose Mourinho desperate to sell him after this season ends, Torres is demanding that he is paid in order to leave and also accept a smaller wage.

The 30-year-old will take a massive pay-cut at his new club as no-one will be prepared to spend nearly £200k-a-week on the striker, especially after his poor career at Chelsea, and due to taking a pay-cut, the Spanish striker believes the club owe him compensation.

Despite expecting to leave in the Summer, Torres has been modelling Chelsea’s new home kit for next season, but the chances of him playing in it are very slim, especially after Mourinho’s brutal words against him on Wednesday night after the Paris Saint-Germain defeat.

Mourinho has also claimed that the Spaniard doesn’t choose to socialise with the rest of the team.
