Gunners beat Cherries 2-0 at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League for the time-being thanks to a 2-0 victory against AFC Bournemouth last night, with Mesut Ozil once again stealing the show.

The German international, who is certainly a contender for Player of the Year, assisted the opening goal for Gabriel Paulista, before putting the game to bed with a goal himself in the second-half after neat build-up play with Olivier Giroud.

The three points put Arsene Wenger‘s men top of the Premier League, above Leicester City who play Manchester City tonight in a massive clash at the King Power Stadium.

Here are SillySeason‘s Five Things Learnt from the 2-0 win against Bournemouth last night.

5) Bournemouth Can Survive

A lot has been said about Bournemouth so far this season, and when the injuries started kicking in, it looked like their campaign was already over.

Several key players suffered long-term injuries, but that hasn’t stopped Eddie Howe’s men from putting in impressive performances and getting some valuable points.

They performed well at the Emirates Stadium last night, but sadly for them fell a bit short to moments of class from Mesut Ozil.

If they continue to play like they have been doing however, they should survive in the Premier League.
