3. Jose Morinho’s job is on the line
Chelsea are now officially a club in crisis and thats when rash decisions are made. Jose Mourinho will surely be feeling the heat now and I’m sure Roman Abramovich will be assessing his options over the next week.
The Russian is not renowned for his patience and the Portegueses position is surely under threat, despite Mourinho recently stating “Let’s be objective. I don’t want to leave the club, in any circumstances,” he said. “And the club doesn’t want me to leave. I’m not going to walk away. The club is not going to sack me. Full stop.”
While Jose Mourinho is probably the best man to lift Chelsea from the brink, the club is officially in crisis and therefore a rash decision isn’t beyond them. The odds on Jose Mourinho to be sacked will probably be cut again!
4. Steven Naismith has laid claim to a starting XI spot
Steven Naismith has surely staked his claim for a position in Everton’s starting XI as he stole all the plaudits with a superb hat-trick after replacing the injured Muhamed Besic in the first half.
The midfielder was the subject of a deadline day bid from Norwich City and Roberto Martinez will be happy the move didn’t go through.
