4) Liverpool’s Kids Looked Great
The Capital One Cup is commonly seen as a competition to blood some future talent, and Jurgen Klopp decided to showcase some of Liverpool‘s youngsters last night.
Connor Randall made his first-team debut for the Reds, while Cameron Brannagan and JoĂŁo Carlos Teixeira also started for Klopp‘s side.
Despite the big occasion for the young lads, they actually looked brilliant and hungry, unlike the Arsenal youngsters that played on Tuesday.
When you are a youngster at a club, you’ve got to make first-team appearances count, and that’s what the Liverpool trio did last night at Anfield.
Ones for the future that’s for sure.
