Former Real Madrid midfielder Kaka has backed both Kylian Mbappe and Luka Modric to pick up the Prestigious Ballon d’Or for the year 2018. Kaka’s remarks came on the back of a very positive World Cup where both the players had their fair share of influence for their respective countries.
Modric led his side from the front as Croatia made their way to the final while Mbappe had been a driving force as he netted four times in France’s famous World Cup triumph.
Before the era of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka was the last player to lay his hands on the coveted prize and now he is predicting a new winner this time. “Modric has had some impressive results, winning the Champions League and being able to play the World Cup final.
“He is the man who creates the show and commands the game.”
He also showered praises on the PSG wonderkid. “Mbappé is very strong and has a whole career ahead of him. Let the future be yours.”
However, It remains to be seen whether any of the players manage to dethrone Messi or Ronaldo or the streak continues.
