Branislav Ivanovic and Loic Remy both targeted by Turkish outfit
Galatasaray have held formal transfer talks with Chelsea duo Branislav Ivanovic and Loic Remy, according to reports.
The Super Lig outfit are looking to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window, and they’ve highlighted the Chelsea duo as two possible signings, with both of them facing uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge.
Ivanovic could be signed on a free by Gala with his contract expiring at the end of the season, while Remy could also be signed on the cheap after his fall from grace signing arriving at Chelsea.
Duo Set for Exit?
Due to the Bosman ruling, officials from Galatasaray can offer Ivanovic a contract in principle, meaning if he chooses to accept the deal, he would then move to the Turkish side on a free at the end of the season.
With Remy, it’s likely that they’ll make a loan move for now, before trying to make it permanent over the summer.
According to reports in Turkey, officials from Galatasaray are now in London ready to hold formal talks with the Premier League outfit.
