Steven Gerrard has warned Patrick Vieira that he is wasting his time chasing the Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos.
The Nice manager has been in pursuit of the Colombian forward to lead the line for his club.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has said that Nice gaffer Patrick Vieira is wasting his time chasing the signature of Alfredo Morelos. The Colombian striker has been the prime weapon for the Gers and has played an important role in making them strong contenders to win the Scottish Premiership by dethroning the reigning champions and arch-rivals Celtic.
Speaking to the media about the speculations of the former Arsenal captain chasing Morelos, the Liverpool legend said, “At the moment in this window, Alfredo won’t be going anywhere. But every one of our players has got a price, I’m not naive enough to sit here and say they haven’t.”
He added, “But none of my players will be going out the door, certainly in this window, so anyone who is preparing a bid or thinking of a bid will be wasting their time.”
Patrick Vieira is reportedly not happy with the performance of Italian striker Mario Balotelli, who has been tipped for a move out of the Ligue 1 club. The former Liverpool striker has not had very good terms with his manager, which has made Vieira eye Morelos to add him to the side in order to replace the out-of-favour Italian.
