Liverpool defender Glen Johnson believes current manager Brendan Rodgers has built a better team at Anfield than the likes of Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish and even Rafael Benitez.
The English right-back, who joined Liverpool back in 2009 has played for the club under all of the previously mentioned managers, and he believes that he current group of players now is the best he has seen since his arrival from Portsmouth.
The Reds got back to winning ways at the weekend after thrashing Fulham 4-0 at Anfield and that victory put them back second in the Premier League, only behind Arsenal.
‘We’ve had some fantastic players in the past that have obviously moved on,’ Johnson told liverpoolfc.tv.
‘But in terms of a squad and starting XI, I think it’s the best since I’ve been around.’
