Chelsea transfer target Freddy Guarin has hinted that he could quite possibly remain in Italy with Inter Milan, however talks are still on going about a possible move to Stamford Bridge.

Guarin has recently been linked with a move to the London club, with Mourinho stating his desire to sign the youngster, as he looks to add some spice to his squad.

A possible move for Guarin may see Juan Mata head out the door, either in a swap deal, or to another club, with Mata being virtually frozen out of the squad over recent weeks, with the Spanish winger only playing for the club in Cup competitions.

Guarin’s agent revealed earlier in the week that Chelsea wwre interested in his client, and wanted a swift move in place to get the deal done.

But it now appears that the Colombian international may remain in Italy, after expressing that he is happy with the Italian side.

Guarin helped his side to a 1-0 victory in the Milan derby, in a tight win over fierce rivals AC Milan, and was quoted in the Italian press after the win…..

“There is a negotiation ongoing and I cannot deny it,” said Guarin. “I have not spoken with Mourinho, but my agent did it.

Now I just think of Inter and I want to stay here, we’ll see what happens.”

Inter Milan’s general director Marco Fassone confirmed there are a number of clubs chasing Guarin, but insisted they hope to keep the former Porto man.

“Guarin has great talent and a lot of teams like him,” Fassone told Radio Rai. “Mazzarri has commended him, about the market we will see if anything happens and we will strengthen the team.

“Currently, however, on Guarin there are only rumours: he is one of our champions and we keep him tight.”

Guarin has also been a target of Manchester United, City, Arsenal and Real Madrid over recent weeks.
