Dutchman wants top-four, Champions League and FA Cup

Chelsea interim-manager has told his players he expects them to finish in the top-four, win the Champions League and also win the FA Cup.

The Dutchman was appointed on a temporary basis on Saturday ahead of the Sunderland game following Jose Mourinho‘s dismissal on Thursday, and he’s spent a week with his new players ahead of the Watford game this afternoon.

Speaking ahead of the game, Hiddink outlined his targets for the season following the Blues‘ terrible start, and the Dutchman is still adamant Chelsea can have a successful season.

Hiddink has told his players to finish in the top-four, win the Champions League and win the FA Cup.

Ambitious Targets?

“Generally, I set targets, and the target is still to get in fourth position.

“If the target is impossible, don’t do it. But I did put that to them. Then the Champions League. Then the FA Cup.

“On top of that, or as a foundation for that, they must show now what they’re capable of. As a consequence then, you go to those targets.”

Hiddink won the FA Cup for Chelsea back in 2009.
