Interim manager gives Chelsea board green light to sign Colombian

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink has told the club’s board to go out and sign Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.

The Blues have been linked with the Colombian in recent weeks, with reports claiming he’s unhappy at Madrid due to not being in the spotlight because of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.

Rodriguez is ready to leave the Bernabeu and he’s been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea believed to be in pole position.

Transfer Plans

However, with the managerial change happening, it was thought no major transfer business would take place in January, but that doesn’t seem the case.

Hiddink has already told the Chelsea board to land a new striker and has now reportedly given them the green light to sign Rodriguez.
