According to his agent Brede hangeland has attracted many Premier League clubs after becoming a free agent following Fulham’s relegation.

The 32 year-old is looking for a new club after Fulham decided to release him following their relegation despite him still having 12 months left on his contract.

The defender’s next move is unknown but West Ham and promoted QPR are reportedly interested, with Hangeland’s agent, Rune Hauge, confirming his client would like to stay in England.

“There is interest from the Premier League,” Hauge told Perform. “But Brede’s on holiday. He was on the way to the airport when he got the message [that he had been released].

“It’s a little bit difficult now, he has to finish that holiday time and take it from there.”

Despite Hangeland spending six years playing in the capital, Hauge insists that the defender is happy to play anywhere in the Premier League but is not tempted by a move overseas.

He added: “No [it does not have to be London], he’s interested in any Premier League club. So far, that [moving to Europe] is not a priority.

“At the moment, yes [he is only interested in the Premier League]. We’ll discuss it when he’s back from the holiday.”
