Harry Kane insists Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona will go down as one of the magical nights in the club history.
Spurs were on the verge of Champions League exit as Ousmane Dembele’s early strike seemed to have eased the path for Inter Milan who played out a 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven in the other match.
The North London giants had to match Inter’s result and time was literally running out for them. Lucas Moura came to the rescue as the Brazilian met Kane’s cross with five minutes from time to send them to the next stage of the Champions League.
Kane believes this result is pretty huge for a club like Tottenham’s stature. “Yes, it’s right up there especially in the Champions League for this club.
“Of course after three games it didn’t look great and people were writing us off but it showed our character and determination and we came here and played a fantastic game.
“It shows what we’re capable of, we’re buzzing that we’re through but we want to go even further in this competition. We’ll look forward to who we’ve got next and this will give us huge belief going forward.”
