According to Ramos, Ronaldo is wrong to claim that Real Madrid will miss the players they let go off in this summer transfer window.
Real Madrid have not had the best start to the LaLiga this season. They are already 8 points behind league leaders Barcelona after 11 matches.
Sergio Ramos does not agree with Cristiano Ronaldo feels that the club will miss the players they offloaded this summer. The Champions League winner offloaded the likes of James Rodriguez, Alvaro Morata, Pep among the others.
Ramos believes that Madrid are struggling not because that some of the players have left the club this summer, but instead of the injuries suffered to Gareth Bale and Raphael Varane.
“I do not agree with Cristiano,” Ramos said to the Cadena SER. “I think it’s an opportunist opinion.
“When we won 2 Super Cups (UEFA Super Cup and Supercopa de Espana), nobody missed anyone.
“I would place more of the emphasis on injuries. The team is stronger when we are all together. I don’t miss anyone. No one.
“The squad has changed, of course, but some contribute some things and others have another role.”
The Portuguese international, Ronaldo, has just scored 1 goal in 7 league games he featured in this season so far. But Ramos is not concerned by that.
“I do not care who scores. For me, it is the same satisfaction,” said Ramos.
“But he has a different role. There are a number individual titles that depend on the type of goals you score.”
Eden Hazard tells Real Madrid he will sign but only on one condition
Real Madrid cannot have disputes arising within the team. They should rather focus on getting back in the league before it is too late. No one can change the past, but instead of clinging to it, the team should be looking forward and finding ways to improve their game.
