Arsenal defender, Per Mertesacker, has revealed that he has been talking to Real Madrid midfielder, Sami Khedira, regarding a potential move to the club in the Summer.
The German midfielder is all-set to leave the Bernabeu in the New Year, with his contract expiring in June, and despite the risk of losing him on a free, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that he will only be leaving in the Summer and not in January.
With Khedira set to be a free agent in the Summer, Mertesacker has been discussing with him a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, and has advised him to join the club and snub other interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
‘I’m up for more quality Germans joining the club,’ he said.
‘Ozil and I spoke to Khedira a few times about joining Arsenal. His contract is up next summer.’
