Stoke City striker, Michael Owen, admits that looking back, he should have left Manchester United earlier in order to re-gain first team football.
The England international left Manchester United this summer on a free transfer after having a miserable injury hit time at the Manchester club. His last appearance for United came in November and now Michael admits that he should have left the club earlier.
Owen, 32, said: “In hindsight, probably that extra year might have been better to move in many ways.
“But, in saying that, I was injured for most of that last year so it might not have mattered anyway.
“But you won’t hear me saying a bad word about my time at United – I had a great time.”
